Ulta Home Improvements is a high-end painting, flooring, tile, and carpentry business located in Ashland, MA. Description of Duties:
- Lead a team of 2–4 crew members on residential painting and home improvement projects.
- Review project scope, documentation, and photos in Buildertrend prior to each job.
- Create daily and weekly work plans to ensure timely project completion.
- Assign duties and provide clear direction to team members each morning.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Project Coordinator, including daily photos and written updates via Buildertrend.
- Conduct regular quality checks using Ulta’s Quality Checklist and SOPs.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site from start to finish
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and communicate solutions to the Project Coordinator promptly.
- Collaborate with other Crew Leads as needed for project coordination.
- Take initiative in identifying process improvements and share with leadership.
- Work occasional Saturdays as needed and ensure team availability.
Tools, Materials, and Vehicle Responsibilities:
- Ensure the van is stocked with necessary tools and materials before each project.
- Keep tools clean and in good working order; report any broken tools promptly.
- Submit weekly inventory requests using the Materials Checklist.
- Maintain a clean and organized van; the van is driven by the Crew Lead only.
- Track van maintenance needs and submit WEX fuel receipts to the Project Coordinator.
- Return unused materials to Ulta’s storage shed as needed.
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential painting, carpentry, or construction.
- Proven leadership experience or ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to deliver excellent workmanship.
- Comfortable using basic project management technology (Buildertrend a plus).
- Organized, accountable, and focused on exceeding client expectations.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Must pass a background check.

- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Crew Leader pay begins when van is picked up and ends when leaving the job site
